ASÂ鶹¹ÙÍø - The Student Voice on Campus
The Associated Students of Â鶹¹ÙÍø (ASÂ鶹¹ÙÍø) is a self-governing body recognized by the College President and Board of Trustees and is an important component of the college's shared governance structure. ASÂ鶹¹ÙÍø officers serve on campus committees that are involved in the processes by which policies are made and college actions are determined. ASÂ鶹¹ÙÍø officers are responsible for bringing committee information back to ASÂ鶹¹ÙÍø Government meetings for input. And as a reminder, all elected Student Government Officers may also participate in the Student Ambassador Program!

ASÂ鶹¹ÙÍø President: Stella Eastman
My qualifications, background and/or experiences that qualify me for the office are:
As a student-athlete on the Â鶹¹ÙÍø volleyball team, I’ve learned a lot about teamwork, leadership, and communication. In high school, I was president of two community service clubs and completed over 300 hours of service, which helped me grow as a leader and learn how to work with others. I feel confident in leadership roles and enjoy interacting with people. I like being involved and helping others, and I’m excited to represent students and make a positive impact on campus.
My vision for carrying out the mission of the Associated Students of Â鶹¹ÙÍø includes:
I want to help create a strong and connected campus where students and administrators work together. I think it’s really important that everyone feels involved, safe, and heard. I want to encourage more communication between students and staff, so people feel comfortable sharing their ideas and concerns. I also want to help create more opportunities for students to get involved on campus, whether that’s through events, clubs, or activities. Overall, my goal is to help build a positive environment where everyone feels like they belong and are supported.

My qualifications, background and/or experiences that qualify me for the office are:
I've been a part of multiple clubs during my past years in high school and have taken initiative to bring those clubs to a higher level. Some of these past clubs and roles include founder of bingo club, leader in link crew, jazz band, and national honor society. I currently play soccer on the Feather River Men's soccer team, having experience working with others on a team my whole life.
My vision for carrying out the mission of the Associated Students of Â鶹¹ÙÍø includes:
I want to see Â鶹¹ÙÍø not only succeed academically and athletically but also be a place where people can come together and cheer for the town of Quincy despite our differences. I was born and raised in Sothern California and moving here to a small town has shown me the power of community. I want to continue to honor that here at Â鶹¹ÙÍø and promote even more success within the students and staff here.

My qualifications, background and/or experiences that qualify me for the office chosen above are:
I am a responsible and organized student who understands the importance of accuracy, communication, and accountability. As a college student-athlete, I’ve developed strong time management skills, discipline, and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities. I have experience working in team environments where clear communication and reliability are essential. In addition, I serve as the President of the Black Student Union (BSU) , where I help organize events and represent student voices on campus. I am also a Student Ambassador, which has strengthened my communication skills and professionalism while representing the college to prospective and current students. These experiences have helped me become more detail-oriented and prepared to handle responsibilities.

My vision is to help build a transparent and organized student government that puts students first. I will ensure students stay informed and involved. I also aim to support campus activities by helping allocate resources fairly, while promoting inclusivity and stronger engagement across the student body.

My qualifications, background and/or experiences that qualify me for this office:
I am an international student from England and I am currently on the Â鶹¹ÙÍø men’s Soccer team. At my previous school, I was head boy for 2 years and I am an assistant manager at a pub back in England so I know how to handle situations like these and talk to all demographics.
My vision for carrying out the mission of the Associated Students of Â鶹¹ÙÍø includes:
My vision is to help Â鶹¹ÙÍø become more connected with the students. I want to make the students feel heard and try to help them feel even more involved than they are. This could be passing on messages from them to our president or vice president.

Carlie returned to Â鶹¹ÙÍø in November, 2012. She has held various roles at the college including Associate Faculty, Academic Advising, Marketing/Outreach/Recruitment, Student Success Programs, Equity, Transfer, and Student Life, Student Government and Leadership.
