Teaching Online at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø

After You Sign a Contract...
You will receive an Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø email account. Employee email accounts include your username (your first initial + last name@frc.edu). Your password will be your first initial + the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number + your last initial, in lowercase letters.
Student usernames include their first + middle initial + last name as their username, and their first initial + school ID + last initial as their password, all in lowercase letters.
Note: Use this login for Canvas access. Do not request help with email accounts or login issues through Canvas's help options—they do not have campus account information.
Within 24-48 hours of Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø receiving your signed contract, your course will be listed in your "MyÂé¶¹¹ÙÍø" area on the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø homepage. This area allows you to:
- Check employee information
- Access official rosters
- Enter grades at the semester's end
- Access Canvas
Rosters in Canvas will update daily at the start of the semester and every few days after "Census" day. Check the Academic Calendar on the Faculty Resources page for specific dates.
Developing Your Online Course
You can develop your course material before entering your Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Canvas course area in two ways:
- Import course material from other Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Blackboard or Moodle. Check with your administrator for export instructions.
- Create your course on the using a free account. This ensures compatibility with the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø environment. Afterward, import the materials into the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Canvas course area.
Once your Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Canvas course area is available, you can import materials or begin course development. Visit the "DE Faculty Handbook" link in Canvas for tips and recommendations.
